Very strange audio bug

Hello, I have a little issue with importing audio into davinci resolve, I've now had this issue with three different versions of resolve and a different editing program, video's that play fine in VLC media player have no audio upon importing Davinci, oddly enough, they are in the exact same format as videos that do, it appears every single video I have recorded in the last say three weeks appears to have just stopped working. Video and Audio Codecs are H264 -MPEG-4 AVC & MPEG AAC Audio

I will give any other information that I need to give to get this resolved, I'm just not sure what to provide, I've spent three days trying to fix this damn thing as it's put a massive hamper on my work.

What camera was used to record the footage?

It's possible a Windows update has reset things. Go to the Sound heading in the Control Panel and check these settings.
Audio in Windows.JPG

In Resolve open Preferences, go to Video and Audio I/O and try the settings I use.

Any luck?

Hi, it's not a sound issue as in windows as older videos of the exact same codec/type work fine, and strangely enough, new ones seem to as well, It seems that just video's from a three weekish peroid just... don't want to have their audio imported. but thank you for the suggestion!
