The GPU failed to preform image processing Error code: -5

PostTue Jan 19, 2021 3:58 pm

Hi all,

First time posting here so let me know if I need to add anything!

Resolve KEEPS crashing. It happens every 5 minutes or more. I'm currently running the most up to date version of Resolve 16 and it happens in both CUDA and OpenCL. My graphics card drivers are up to date as is my OS. It happens no matter where the footage is located. Resolve freezes and after a few minutes of not touching it presents the error The GPU failed to preform image processing, Error code: -5. It has also froze the entire computer a number of times. Neither CPU or memory are being utilized over 50 percent when this happens. Is there any more information that's needed to troubleshoot? The system I'm running is below.

Solved,

Rolled back the GPU from the game ready driver to studio driver 460.89!

Hopefully it'll help if anyone else finds the problem!

Hi,

how were you able to select and change that in your Driver?

I have the similar error message (The GPU failed to perform image processing because of an error - Error Code:-59)
Thanks
