automatic transition created when nudging, bug or feature?

PostTue Jan 19, 2021 6:38 pm

I've started using the nudge keys more but I've noticed if you nudge a clip over into another clip it makes this tiny sub one frame transition between the two. Is it possible to turn this off or even change the length of the autogenerated transition, as then it could be a nice feature? The way it is it's just a problem if you want to apply a transition by other means as you have to first zoom really close up to even see the transition to then be able to delete it.

Here I'm showing with audio clips but the same happens with video

If you hold Shift+Alt when dragging with the mouse, it'll create a transition.

Perhaps there's a similar combination for Nudge?

You're a genius!

1. I wasn't even aware of that but that's super handy
2. yeah my nudge hotkey involved holding shift and alt so after changing that sure enough that fixed it
