Resole is slow on startup -
Posted: Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:39 pmI have some problems with Davinci Resolve Studio 16.2.8
After starting Resolve and loading a project with 46 2.7K H.264 files, the thumbnails for the clips in media pool won't show up for at least 3 minutes, sometimes more than that, in all this time I cannot do anything, the clips won't show up in the timeline or in the color page, the interface is responsive but the monitors are blank.
I tried creating a project with just one file or a project with the media transcoded in DNxHR, the problem persists.
After I wait 3 minutes for one project to load the thumbnails if I switch between the project with the H.264 files and the one with DNxHR files everything works fast but at startup any project I load gives me this annoying problem.
All my footage is on a dedicated NVMe drive. The system is running from an NVMe drive also.
I already tried:
Reinstalling Resolve
New database
New project
Disabling the antivirus
Fresh OS install
My device specifications:
OS: Windows 10
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
RAM: 64 GB
Storage: NVMe SSD Drives
