Updated: Crash To Desktop Upon 4K Render attempt

PostTue Jan 19, 2021 9:31 pm

Any operation I try involving rendering to a file, whether final project render or trying to generate optimized media causes my system to Crash To Desktop. I can get it to render in 1080P, but 4K is a no go. Trying to generate optimized media either causes the system to hang or CTD. I do not get an option to generate Proxy media.

FTM I am manually creating proxy files using Handbrake and then linking them manually. It is still a little clunky, can anyone suggest the ideal settings to use with my proxy files?

The last change I made to my system before this started happening was I installed a VST plugin Called "Free Air" From Slate Digital. It works fine in Fairlight, but could it be the issue? My spider sense says - probably.

UPDATE:
So now I have Uninstalled Free Air and mow every time I try to render a small 1080P project it totally crashes and reboots my system. I've tried rendering in H.265 and H.264, same thing. HELP!

I am attaching my DaVinci Resolve Crash Log below.
