After Coloring I Can't Sync Audio??

Please help....I am a beginner using 16.

I first colored my video.
Now there is the original video and the timeline video in my Media Pool.

Now I brought an audio file onto the media pool.

I highlight the original video and the audio file and right click to do an audio synch using waveform.

Then nothing happens.

I add the audio file to the timeline but nothing changes.

Manually doing it has been hard for me.

Why can't I synch audio to the timeline video?

I am not 100% sure, but I think that as soon as the clip goes from the media pool to the timeline it becomes 'seperated' from the media pool clip as far as Resolve is concerned. So you'll need to either sync from the timeline, or reconform from media pool I think it's called. I've never quite understood how it worked or why it's supposed to be logical, so try and search in the manual for this. It is explained in a way that is better than I'm doing right now.

As a new user, your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly.
