Scopes clip at level 768 when RCM wide gamut turned on

Hi all,

I just got into RCM and am keeping it very simple for now. There are 3 clips on my timeline, all BRAW from my 6K. As soon as I turn on the RCM color science and "DaVinci wide gamut" as my preset, all highlights get clipped in a very ugly way and all my scopes cap at 768.

Is there any other setting I need to change to be able to use all 1023 levels (to stretch my images)?

Thanks!

Thank goodness someone else has reported the same problem. Did you hear back from anyone about this. I'm going to post a new post outlining my experience. But was curious if you heard from anyone at BMD about this.

I saw the same. I went back to ACES.

I find I get better results with less work.

Calvin, no I have not received any response yet. Unfortunately, I have been having issues with Resolve ever since I started TRYING to switch over from another NLE but no luck. There always seems to be some issue :( .

16 was fine but I just could not find a good tutorial for proper online/offline workflow, no real way to create proxies, then 17 had playback issues, now I cant use RCM... :|

FIXED!

For anyone interested, here is how I fixed it. In my Project settings > Master settings, I changed the format of my Render cache from DNxHR to DNx 4444. This is the tip I got from the Facebook Resolve group where one of the members said it was a known bug(?).
