Crashes and not working properly

PostThu Jan 21, 2021 5:44 pm

Hi, Davinci Resolve 16 is not working properly with my new RTX 3070. I bought it at launch and since day 1 I had problems. The main issue was that when exporting a video the graphics card only got at like 8%-10% usage and the processor had to do the rest. That meant slower video rendering and a lot of unnecessary pressure to my processor. I kinda wanted to solve that but I found nothing so If someone could help it would be nice. Another issue I have more recently is that Davinci just crashes out of nowere. So I opened the task manager waiting for a crash to occur and I realised that my "gpu 3d" suddently spiked to 100% usage and eventually Davinci crashed. I reinstalled it, installed Davinci Resolve 17, reinstalled graphics card drivers. And nothing. I even did a full format of the PC back when I had the exporting problem and it didnt work. I dont think that formating again would be useful when it comes to the new crashes. I searched it and I found some forums talking about the 100% suage in gpu 3d. Some other people have gotten it but nobody knows why it happens or how to fix it. So I can't edit anymore without saving every second knowing it might crash and lose like a minute everytime, and also when exporting it doesnt use the gpu properly. I never touch any settings so idk what's going on. I used to have the same pc components and a GTX 1050 ti and everything worked properly. But with the RTX 3070 I have this issue. In all other games and apps everything works just fine. Even in premiere. I really don't know what to do.

Thanks for reading.

Maybe this?

Also, only Studio will utilize the GPU for decoding and encoding. The Free version uses only the CPU.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
