UPDATE: Attempt to Export BIN causes CTD - Issue identified

PostFri Jan 22, 2021 7:45 am

In an attempt to get my project done, I installed the windows version on my clients computer I happen to have here. Backing up the full database and restoring it to the Windows system was not very helpful. I got all my custom macros and titles copied over as well. I rely heavily on my Power bin but when I try to export my power bins it causes DaVinci to Crash To Desktop. GRRRR!!! Of course it wont let me drag the files manually to a folder from the media tab - that would be too simple and easy. Someone please help me. I am already days over the deadline due to my Resolve being all screwed up now. See my other recent posts for more info, but trying to render also causes CTD. I am thoroughly screwed here. Lots of people have been reading my posts and downloading the crash logs, but no replies. I need to get everything moved over to the windows system so I can render my project, but it seems to be fighting me every step of the way. I guess I could go back in "Time Machine" to just before I installed the Audio plugin that I think is responsible for my DaVinci blowing up, but not sure exactly what I would have to restore to fix my Resolve. Are there other locations that files get installed other than /User/Username/Library/Black Magic Design/?? If so exactly what do I need to restore to make this all better?

UPDATE: I just figured out it is related to my MacBook's discreet GPU. I still don't know if the audio plug-in I installed is part of it but when I turned off hardware acceleration I was able to render. I did try restoring from my time machine, but I only restored the black magic stuff in my user folder, I don't know where else DaVinci installs files to and I really can't afford to do a system wide restore. My last backup was Dec 30, 2020. For now I can do CPU only rendering but it is really SLOW. I still could use the information of exactly what locations Black Magic writes files to when it installs DaVinci Resolve. Plus the export Bin CTD issue remains.
