I want my Cross Dissolve transition to be of the Film variety, how can I make this as a default?

Set it up as desired, right click the transition on the clip>Create Transition Preset.

I did the Create Transition Preset and set it up as "Standard". It doesn't want to retain the style of the Cross Dissolve as "Film".

I haven't tried this, but I think it's possible to manually go in and select all transitions on a timeline and then go into the inspector and change the dissolve type to Film.

It may well not be possible to make Film the default. I'm actually a big fan of Film-style dissolves, and I use them all the time in 23.98 projects (whether it was shot on film or digital).

I have seen the default transition get reset from my custom preset to the normal Cross Dissolve, and I have to fix that.

But when the Preset I created actually gets used, it settings are always correct.
