Text doesn't work and clips are sometimes glitched

PostFri Jan 22, 2021 3:52 pm

Hi, I've used multiple editors and never had an issue about text. However, when I put text into Resolve 17 Beta, I use the playback and both the text and video clips are glitched. By this, I mean they stay still and flicker, and sometimes the thumbnails on the media page show rainbow glitch screens. When I import and playback video clips alone, this sometimes happens too. Is there a fix for this? It seemed to also be happening on Resolve 16. Thanks.

"To help keep the v17 beta items separate from the regular forum topics, please use v17 beta sub forum for all your reports on v17 beta items.

Also, for operational questions, please refer to the New Features Guide that is in the installer before posting here."

In Windows you will find it here. This is until the full 17 manual is available. At the moment this compliments the version 16 full manual which is available in the Support page of the BMD website.

If you had the flickering in version 16 as well that may indicate something else. Is your GPU driver up to date? If using Nvidia, do not use driver 461.09 as it is causing problems. Does your system meet the minimum requirements?

Help>DaVinci Resolve Reference Manual will currently call up the New Feature Guide.

My GPU drivers are up to date, and I'm using AMD. My computer meets the requirements.

Now, I noticed that whenever I edit clips and make them shorter, half the time, it also glitches the clips and I have to restart Resolve.
