Unable to launch Davinci Resolve 16.2.8

I was using Davinci Resolve 16 for some time now and everthing was working fine. Now all of a sudden it just doesnt launch. I double click on the Resolve.exe and the initial Davinci Resolve launcher pops up and gets stuck at "Looking for Control Surface" and goes un responsive.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, manually deleting files in ProgramFiles and ProgramData folder in Windows 10 C drive. I tried the installing the v17 beta and yet I am facing the same problem. I tried running the CaptureLogs.bat from the Davinci Resolve folder and it runs and displays a popup windows stating a zip file is saved on Desktop but no file gets saved on Desktop.
Could someone please help me fix this?
