Distorted audio

Hello!

After reviewing the last video I made in DaVinci Resolve, I noticed the audio has distorted in some areas. Here is a link to the video
You can hear the distortion for the first time at timestamp 1:38

When I go back into the original clip, there's no distortion. There's no distortion in the audio or video files and I haven't added any filters to the audio- the only thing changed is it's volume. This has happened on multiple videos using different sources.

Thank you so much for your help!

Hello!

Thank you for your reply! I've tried a few different export options. What I've used up to this point is

Render Settings- Youtube 1080p
Resolution 1902x1080 HD (I've also tried 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD)
Frame Rate: 23.976
Format: QuickTime
Video Codec: H.264
Audio: Main 1 (Stereo)
Audio Codec: Linear PCM
Data burn in: Same as project

I recently tried the following after watching a video on audio distortion

Render Settings- Custom
Video:
Format: QuickTime
Codec: H.264
resolution 3840 x2160 Ultra HD
Frame Rate: 23.976
Quality Restric to 10000kb/s
Encoding Profile: Auto
Key Farmes: Automatic (Check frame reordering)
Audio:
Codec: Linear PCM
Bit Depth: 24
Output Track 1: Main (Stereo)

The audio distortion happens sometimes while I'm working on the project in DaVinci Resolve, so I'm not convinced that the issue is in the export. In the original files, there is no distortion.

Thanks again <3

I'm not sure I understand the question.

The video came from a Sony A7iii shooting 24 frames per second in 4k
The audio came from an audio recording from audacity using a Neewer USB Microphone from Amazon.

I muted the audio from the original clip and visually matched up the waves for each clip. (Yes, I know DaVinci can do this for me, but every time I try, it does nothing!!)

Let me know if that's what you're looking for. Thanks again for your help <3

You're not alone Brittany, there are quite a few reports of audio issues right now. They're working on it in the new version 17 betas. Some have reported better audio handling in the latest 17.7(?) I think. (I can't recall whether we're at 17.6 or 17.7 now). But latest beta may be better
