Question: How to force playhead to ignore a track?

In timeline, the playhead will (understandably) jump to my V2 clips when transporting to next/previous clip.
In colour, I have V2 disabled so V1 clip grades stay visible, and next/previous clip will refer to V1 clips, but not fully, as the playhead will jump to the first frame of the V1 clip that aligns with the start of a V2 clip.
How can I stop these two behaviours? Hope that makes sense.
