Calibration

Decklink

Good afternoon! I’m curious if anyone has tried to compare a calibrated monitor output from a rtx3090
in comparison to the same monitor using an output from a deck link 4K monitor card. I have an lg ctx oled that was calibrated using calman lg home. IMO, they are extremely close in color and I used a light meter to try to measure the whites and grays. The results were nearly identical. If I made a mistake or this is an inaccurate test, please advise. In addition, I spoke with Nvidia and the tech stated the decklink wasn’t necessary because of the new Davinici drivers included in the Nvidia software. I’m asking because I really need the pcie slot that’s in my computer. Has anyone else tried this and is the decklink necessary?

Thank you

That's (interesting) news.

Run a test. Go into the nVidia Control Panel and play around with the color controls.

Does the LG remain unaffected?

The point of the Decklink is that it bypasses the GPU driver, which can alter the image. If nVidia is working with BMD such that the GPU can do the same...
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hello! There are two options.
Allow Nvidia to change colors, which it does to the LG or allow applications to control the color.
