Export XML of a project containing un-flattened Multicam

PostMon Jan 25, 2021 12:01 pm

Hi all,
i need to give my project (made in Resolve 17b6) to another video editor using other editing app for further editing and color grading. So a few questions emerge...

1. Is any color grading process info exported as well with .xml?
2. Are un-flattened multicam exported with xml? I'm asking because it's possible that the next video editor operator probably would need to select different angles from my multicam editing.

thanks and all the best

a.

1. I would be very surprised if so.

2. My own experience is that each NLE uses a different process for Multicam, so unflattened Multicam often doesn't come across properly.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thanks. If i make in the same project a copy of the timeline containg the un-flattened multicam and flatten the multicam in the new timeline, will the old timeline retain the original unflatted multicam?

Yes. Timelines are separate entities.
