files corrupts when trim tool is used

amd ryzen 5 pro
16 GB RAM
Davinci resolve 16.2.8.005
Every time when I try trimming a video in the edit tabs, Resolve corrupts my file. When i press play it glitches between 2 to 3 frames in rapid succession. The audio plays fine though. This happens on every file I try to use.
I already have the newest drivers, tried installing resolve 17, and reinstalling 16, but nothing worked.
