Any progress or information regarding optimized media, it has been addressed many times, even the new manual November 2020, it has information that it ....
“ This database-wide functionality has changed somewhat how Optimized Media is now managed. Deleting optimized media from DaVinci Resolve now must take place manually, by removing the files in the CacheClip/Optimized Media folder in your OS. There is also currently no way to show which files in your project have been optimized and which have not.”

Yes you can optimize your media, but if you had 10 clips and half of them have been, there is no way to tell which one was optimized?

While Proxy media, you can tell, by selecting in list view.

This is directed to BMD tech.

Thanks
Yasir

Thanks, Jim.
I’m on a Zoom event this morning and all week for the Edit Page presented by BMD, I have posted my question on the Q&A, but no one seems to know the answer, they replied as if it was a bug to be reported.
I think the BMD team are trying to figure out how to addressed it now that they have the Proxy media, which is working.
I’m on the phone waiting to talk to BMD tech support.
I doubt it if they will give me an answer, but I need to remind them that many people are looking for it.

I will post what there answer is.
BTW, New books might be out March/April.

Just got off the phone with BMD phone Tech support, they are aware of the Optimized media missing from list veiw, they are documenting it as well, but I was assured it will be addressed when Resolve is off beta.

So hopefully it will be resolved soon.
