Basic Open FX Question

PostMon Jan 25, 2021 7:59 pm

Sorry for this very basic question. I've been slowly moving more workflow to Resolve from my other NLE, but doing it slowly as my skills and comfort level with Resolve build. Still, after working for years with various NLEs, I continue to find the user interface in Resolve to be the most convoluted and least intuitive NLE I have ever used.
So, my basic question is: When applying Open FX filters, how can you see and access ALL filters which have previously been applied to the clip? Mine only shows the last one applied and it's settings, where is the command, setting, etc., so I can see them all? Or, are you only supposed to apply one FX Filter per node?

Normally, yes. Try to get around the node concept. In serious projects, you may have dozens of them.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I kind of figured. I'm fine with having to use multiple nodes. As long as I know the rules, I can play the game!

Nodes is the name, and you'll find how flexible they are.

Ooooh, the operation of software at this level should never be 'intuited'. It should be learned.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
