VFX Connect

PostTue Jan 26, 2021 3:42 pm

Hi, i`m using DaVinci 16.2.8 to do almost every step of my post production process chain.
We have a NAS with all the Media and a separated DB SQL Server.
In the past few months we are experimenting with VFX Connect, creating the SHOT inside the edit page and all the versions showing up as they should. The problem is that we just added a new workstation for color grading, a Windows machine (all other machines are Mac) and the VFX Connect simply doesn't show the versions, but everything else does show up (other normal clips). When I open the same project in a mac workstation, everything is normal.
Does anyone here works with VFX CONNECT?

thanks,

Yes, I do, but only on Macs. The standalone version of Fusion is still more reliable than the integrated one.
Which codec are you rendering for VFX Connect?
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Studio 19.1.3
MacOS 13.7.4, 2017 iMac, 32 GB, Radeon Pro 580 + eGPU
MacBook M1 Pro, 16 GPU cores, 32 GB RAM, MacOS 14.7.2

I started using ProRes4444 but when I noticed that Windows machine was not dealing well with the VFX Connect clips and their versions, I changed to DPX, EXR, MXF, but all got the same version problem.
My guess is that somehow the Windows machine is not locating the folder somehow.
