window pane next to media bin not showing

Hello everyone

I am a bit of a newbie, going from Windows Movie Maker to Davinci Resolve.

I am following the first video from their tutorials for learning video editing.

My issue is that I cannot view the pane for the folders. I am not sure why, here is a screenshot of what I have:

version 16.2.8.005.

I am not sure if this has already been asked before, it seems simple , is this a bug? I have selected reset settings too so I am not sure what is wrong.

Also why don't I have the other things that he does in his window?

The videos offer a good overview for folks looking to switch.

Once you've decided to use Resolve, the much better approach are the manuals, listed under the videos. They come with lessons, and go over things in much more detail.

Give that a try.

That said, you really should have a 24" screen using a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at a minimum. Your view there is a bit cramped.

In your screenshot you are on the Cut page, in the one from the tutorial they are on the Edit page, that is why they look different.

Thanks for that, I did not realise that I was in that page which was different, I checked the previous one but not the edit .

I realised why I got confused, Resolve 15 has 6 tabs at the bottom whereas resolve 16 has an extra one, so where he was on his second tab from the left, this is my third tab from the left.
