DVR 17 and 16

PostWed Jan 27, 2021 4:01 pm

Hello all, I have been waiting to upgrade to 17 studio but unfortunately I have few projects that I'm still working on in 16 studio

Is it possible if I bought resolve 17 on a dongle could I have both installed on my computer at the same time?

Far fetched?

You don't have to buy 17, you get it for free if u have a 16 or older license.

No, you can't have them both installed.

Installing 17 will overwrite 16 and require a database upgrade.

Those upgraded databases cannot be opened in earlier versions of Resolve. It's a one way path forward, no looking back.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
