Link Resolve Bins to Video Files in Folders on HD

Ive asked this before but got nowhere. Maybe things are different with v17?

Is there a way to setup Resolve bins to automatically populate the bins with video files when they are added to "watch folders" or something on the hard drive? When dealing with thousands of video clips and scores of bins this would tremendously helpful when it comes to keep the footage in the Resolve bins updated with files in the folders. Not to mention an assistant or someone could be adding video clips to the folders over a network or something and have them automatically populate in the Resolve bins for the editor, etc. I'd still love to see something like this! A lot. Or maybe there is a way to do this?

This feature is not present in any version of Resolve.

It's been six years since the original post. Any way to have resolve bins automatically read/import files in "watch" folders into Resolve bins???
