Is there any updates to when the Studio dongle version will be available for shipping? I ordered from Adorama over a month ago, and it still shows being on backorder. What's the issue?

May want to check with Markertek... others have recently received their DaVinci Resolve/Speed Editor bundle from them in a week or less, myself included. YMMV.

I ordered over 2 months ago from Adorama and my order is still listed as Backordered.


Whats annoying is that I could live without the speed editor for a while but not having access to the studio version after 2 months is ridiculous.

I agree, I just want the dongle Studio version software to use right now, and I would be fine with the speed editor shipping later.

Same here. Adorama, but it seems other resellers are the same.

What's so special about the license key? It's paper, right? What kind of convoluted process is going on here?

Just send them out on a simple card, in an envelope to the resellers. "In order to fill your request sooner, we hope you forgive the rudimentary packaging." Not complex. At all.

What exactly do you do with the dongle when you get it?

I've plugged it into my windows 10 laptop and nothing happens.

I'm already using the free version of resolve, so I thought there would at least be a licence code with my dongle. It is just a cardboard box, plastic insert and a dongle that does nothing.

How do I active Studio?
