audio question

I have a clip with a stereo track, ch 1 is a boom and ch 2 is a lav. During playback I hear only ch 1. On the timeline I can see the audio waveform of when the subject taps the lav mic, but I can't hear any of ch 2 during playback.
Using VLC I can hear both channels as well as when the lav mic is tapped.

thanks,

According to your screenshot, Audio1 is only single channel.

Yes, that's what I see too. Channel 1 is the boom mic, but at the point on the timeline when the subject taps her lav mic I see the audio waveform of that, but I can't hear it.
However when I play the same clip on VLC I can hear the tapping on the lav mic.

You cannot hear the channel 2 when your audio track on timeline is mono. Insert two-channel audio into a stereo track or twice into two mono tracks and assign the correct channel. E.g.:

mono track 1 - left channel
mono track 2 - right channel
