Can anyone explain to me the advantages of shooting 8K Red Ranger Monstro for Broadcast and web only?

A lot of broadcast work used to be shot on film. It's a lot more work, but...the results are just better.
That's where my head is at.

If the final result is 4K or UHD, it makes sense. These days we are normally using single chip sensors with a Bayer pattern.
No sensor with 4K photocells can deliver a resolution of 4K (read about the Shannon-Nyquist limit). It's an illusion delivered by marketing. Plus, some oversampling will help with stabilisation or reframing.
That said, 6K would be plenty and for HD delivery even that is overkill.
