Hi, is there an ETA on when Resolve 17 activation cards or dongles (without the Speed Editor promotion) will be in stock and available for purchase again?
None of the retailers I've spoken to have a definite answer beyond that they're awaiting stock and have directed me to ask BM. I know the Speed Editor hardware is being released in limited numbers, but I need to purchase some licenses that don't require the SE and it'd be great to know when I'll be able to do so.
I'd rather buy retail than from an eBay seller.

That's strange to me, that a retailer thought BM would inform you, but not the retailer.

They said they could tell that they were awaiting stock, but didn't know a) why it was taking so long to be replenished and b) what the ETA was for new stock.
I'm sure if I had been able to actually reach a buyer I might have gotten more info, but this was the best my info my corporate reps could get me.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect Blackmagic to provide you with those answers here. Or at all, really, unless you were a retailer. So it's weird that a retailer would send you here to ask.

Really? Ok. Seems like contacting the manufacturer about product shortage would be fine. Maybe it's a Blackmagic thing? I don't see why they wouldn't want to communicate expected availability for Resolve.

Personally, I think they should.
I'm just saying that if they're not providing that information to their own retailers, it seems unlikely they would provide it in a public forum. That's why I thought it odd that a retailer would suggest asking.
Although I suppose that old trope holds true here nonetheless. "Can't hurt to ask."
