Unable to create a ProTools output

PostFri Jan 29, 2021 8:14 pm

I'm an the Mac mini M1,
Big Sur 11.1
DR 17.1b7

Following Chris Roberts' course this week without any issues. However, I'm unable to create an AAF export for ProTools. The video will render correctly, but the AAF will crash and not output at all, showing the error message in the screenshot. Both embedded and non-embedded will fail, but the non-embedded will output the audio tracks.. Diagnostics attached.

Right now aaf export and import doesn't work on Apple m1. Hopefully black magic Is working on a soluzione to this aaf problem. Move to PC if you Need to export aaf and cross fingers...you might get other problems sometimes

Did you try to run it under Rosetta2 instead?
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

I had not, but I just did a test and in Rosetta 2, the AAF export works as expected (plus my external plugins that require iLok were correctly loaded as well.)

Thanks for that tip.
