Proxy problem.

PostSat Jan 30, 2021 9:02 am

Hello, I use Davinci on original Mac with Catalina, 64 Gb Ram, 2X Vega 64, all separate SSD drive in Raid, Davinci Studio 17 beta with dongle (included in bundle with Pocket Cinema 4K), Decklink 8K Pro for preview.

I expose my problem: I have activated optimized media and proxy, and everything works perfectly, but my problem arises when I save the project, and then I reopen it, because it renders all the proxies again.

1920x1080 timeline with 4K files (Pocket Cinema & Ursa), ProRes 4444 XQ for the proxy (even if I change the problem is not solved).

Sorry but I have not found a solution, media storage location as first I have the disk dedicated to the cache.

I have a lot of computing power, and proxies (if the movie is short) render in seconds, but the problem arises when editing a documentary or a TV show of an hour or more, it takes 10-12 minutes for render all...

I asked the same question in the Italian group of Davinci Resolve in Facebook, but I was thrown out of the group, then I asked in an international group and the post was deleted (perhaps it is not allowed to report problems that one of the directors of the group cannot solve or explain).

Is there any setting that escapes me ?

Thanks in advance.
