Resetting speed change with optical flow - slow playback

The following has happened to me several times:
1. I set the retime process to "Optical flow" for a clip.
2. Change the speed of the clip to 150%.
3. I play back a few times to let it cache.
4. Decide I don't like it and reset the speed change with the reset icon.
5. Clip now plays really slowly and choppy.
It's an h.264 4K clip but since it played correctly before changing the speed and back, I wonder what's going on. If I then change retime process to "Nearest" it plays fine again but that really shouldn't matter since it's not retimed anymore.
