17b7 crash when displaying media (linux)
Hi,
I experience crash on Resolve 17 as soon as it tries to display any media (so just scrubbing something in the media pool or anything).
This is what can be found in the logs :
I'v also attached the full ResolveDebug.txt.
A few more infos :
* I'm new to Resolve but I just used version 16 just fine to make a project and that worked fine with the exact same config / machine. I had to disable "GPU scopes" (they were showing nothing) but except for that it worked. Given it was a pretty good experience I'm considering going to the Studio version (to get h264 support mostly) but if I can't get newer versions running on my setup, there isn't much point.
* I know OpenCL / OpenGL interop does _not_ work on this machine, you can't share objects. I spent month trying to get it to work, to no avail. At least for v16 it was able to fallback to manually copy/upload textures (which is what I do in my own projects using CL/GL), has this been removed from v17 ? Is there a way to force it not to use / rely on CL/GL interop ?
* That system also has a NVIDIA GPU, usually it's completely invisible (passed through to a VM so no driver/device/... visible to to the host at all) to the host, but for testing I tried enabling it and running Resolve using that and that seems to work, (at least I could add a media to the timeline and play it, I didn't really try anything else). So this really seem to be the CL/GL interop issue on the AMD GPU.
Cheers,
Sylvain
