Using ripple cut

PostSun Jan 31, 2021 10:13 am

I have several projects on the go but one has a problem that I can't solve.
I am using ripple cut to move clips to another part of my movie. Works fine in all but one of my projects.
When I ripple cut in this project, I select the clip, go to ripple cut and, as you would expect, the clip disappears and the timeline closes where that clip was. I place my timeline marker over where I want the clip to be placed, right-click to select "paste insert" and the clip is inserted at the end of my movie instead of the timeline marker.
Works as expected in all my other projects.
To my knowledge I haven't changed any settings, it has suddenly started doing this.
Does anyone know what to do?

Paste priority is:

1. In point
2. Playhead.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
