Delta keyer produces noisy foreground

PostSun Jan 31, 2021 5:57 pm

I used the delta keyer on regular greenscreen type of video with blueish foreground and after rendering it turned out that the background is OK but the foreground is quite visibly noisy.
I am pretty fresh to Resolve so maybe somebody wiser saw this and have a remedy?

What kind of footage? (From what camera?)
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

If 'blueish' may contain some green (as in cyan) you may need to try the 3D dyer in Resolve or dive deeper into chroma keying with Primatte in Fusion and use several layers. Good greenscreening is an art in itself, not a one-click thing.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Check your alpha (press A in viewer). Check spill suppression settings.
