Davinci Resolve Won't Load

Suddenly, I cannot open resolve. I was in it, used a generic project I sometimes use. Cleared out old media, dragged in a simple .mp4 file. It imported fine, dragged it into the timeline. Went to Fairlight and added a few built-in audio plugins from Davinci, and then saved the project and exported the video. I closed Davinci, went to go open it later and now I cannot open the program. I've uninstalled it several times, uninstalled Postgre and tried reinstalling everything and nothing works.
I even tried installing both the latest stable and 17 beta. Nothing works.
I can open it to the startup tour or where the project manager is and that's it. Once I try to open a project, Davinci simply disappears.

I started this using the latest stable version when it happened. I'm now trying to use the beta, because I figured if there is a version to address this in, it should be here. Same problem either way.

EDIT: I ended up fixing this to the point where I can load Davinci, but all my old databases are gone. I can recreate the main project, but I'm having a heck of a time getting audio track plugins to stay put when I want to drag different videos with the same 3 tracks in it. I would like to be able to keep my plugin chain in place even when I remove an old video from the timeline and move a new one in. For instance, my voiceovers should all have the same effects chain, my desktop audio track from each video should also retain it's own effects chain. I can do this, but as soon as I put a new video in, all the chain effects for A1 or A2 are gone and have to be redone. I literally never had to do this before version 17. How do I solve this?

Bit of an aside here, but...by definition a plug-in is something you add to the software. If it's included, it's just an effect.

It's often important for us to know which one you're using - an effect, or a plug-in - so proper terminology helps.

Reason being, if the issue is with an effect, it's Blackmagic's problem to solve. If you're using a plug-in, it might not be.

Under the right conditions, it is possible for that to happen during Uninstall.

Did you get a chance to Backup the databases?
