Resolve 16 Copy and Paste Bizarre Behavior?

I'm having a problem copying and pasting clips on a project timeline. After copying a clip, when I attempt to paste it, it will not paste where I set it to, but will move to another part of the timeline. What's worse, is that it will only paste a single frame of a clip which may be several seconds long. Any ideas as to how to fix this annoying issue?

PS:
If I create a new timeline on the same project, I can copy and paste clips from the first timeline with the problem to the second one without any of the issues described above.

Make sure you don't have any in and out points set on the timeline as that is where the paste will go before the playhead position.

Thanks,
But what is most odd, is that when it does paste, usually off in the timeline wilderness, it is only pasting a single frame of a sequence which is several seconds long.

Then you also have an Out point set, right after the In point.

Clear them, and it'll Paste at the Playhead.
