Ripple Delete not working in Cut with Video + Audio track

I'm editing some footage to sync it to some music. So what I do is to put the song on an audio track and lock it so that it cannot move or be edited. I then use the Speed Editor in the Cut page to edit video to this. The problem is that this configuration makes ripple delete not work anymore on the video track. I can see some rationale for this but is there any way to do a ripple delete in the Cut page in this configuration?

Is your audio/video link off?

The video track and the audio track are not linked, it is clips that are linked, isn’t it? Also, the video files have no audio.

you are definitely not alone. I've seen many posts in the forum with the same complaint.

You can get the ripple delete function to work again but then you will lose the function trim in and out .
