[solved] Exports result un-playable (corrupt) files

PostMon Feb 01, 2021 2:33 am

This is my second project on 17 Beta, and everything appears to be working fine in Resolve. Exporting compiled video seems to work fine.. and resulting file is in the export location, although it's corrupt. No errors in Resolve. Any tips? I finally got the last project to export properly, but I am not sure why. I have tried my current project three times, changing settings, etc. I'm not sure what is up, but I haven't ever had this problem before.

How are you determining the file is corrupt?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Solved. It was a space issue. The destination was full, but Resolve never errored, it just pretended everything was fine, and I ended up with an un-playable video. I started noticing the file size was very small in comparison to what was expected, and realized my volume was full. Once I deleted some older files to make room, everything was back to normal.
