All audio suddenly cuts out, comes back

PostMon Feb 01, 2021 5:57 pm

I have several tracks of audio in my timeline. Say, 5 of foley and one voiceover. 2 video tracks, one active and one inactive.

When the playhead reaches a specific point in my timeline, there is a loud pop/click and suddenly ALL audio is gone. It comes back a few seconds later with another pop/click. This happens at the exact same place in my timeline, seemingly apropos of nothing at all. I check the Source and everything is fine.

I could see having an issue with one track - corrupted file or something - but I don't know what could cause ALL audio playback to die in the same place like this.

I'm on version 17 beta right now, but I've had this issue through a couple builds of Resolve 16 as well. Since the problem seems version agnostic, I'm posting here rather than the beta 17 thread to keep the focus there on issues related specifically to the beta.

Is one of your sources coming from a phone or a screen recording?
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
