Keyframe Workflow

Hi there all,
I come from Premiere Pro, where the keyframe workflow is very intuitive. But I'm having problems in Davinci when I'm trying to mask. I finally figured out how to remove keyframes (not with the delete button which is, odd), but what I can't figure out is how to make a mask disappear in the middle of a scene without having to cut the footage in the place where I want to stop masking and then cut again to continue masking (let's say I'm tracking a target and he disappears for a second or two before I keep retracking him again). I'm pretty sure there is a way to do it but I can't find it anywhere. In Premiere it was fairly easy: you create a layer where you do the keying and when you don't need it anymore you cut where the mask should end. Can this be done here too with the nodes? Something like a timed node to be active until let's say 15 seconds and then have a new node take it's position? Or how else would you even do it?

The biggest mistake I made after switching from Premiere Pro was thinking that my previous experience meant I could just jump into a new NLE without difficulty.

Nope.

As a new user, your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly. ;)

You have to use the "key output" option in the "Key" menu which is located next to the "Blur" menu. Also make sure to enable the keyframe correctors located on the right by clicking on the white diamond icon, so the opacity changes apply to the clip.

Aaah I see, thank you Dawid.

Np Dawid and welcome to the Blackmagic forum ;)
