MP4 Convert on M1 OS 11.1 DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta
Hi good folks,
Sorry if this has been asked. I've tried searching but haven't found the answer.
I have a brand new MacBook Pro M1 running OS 11.1. I am new to DaVinci Resolve 17.0 and a 20+ year user of FCP products.
I am trying to import some MP4 files sent by a cinematographer. The computer doesn't seem to be able to open them in Quicktime, Resolve only reads one file as audio, and I don't seem to be able to download MPEG Streamclip on this machine in order to convert them.
Has anyone used a media converter app on an M1 machine? Can you suggest the app and suggest what would be the best format to convert to? Or is there something else I should be doing here?
I just realised I could convert the files in an ancient computer but that seems like a bad idea.
Also, should I upgrade to 17.1?
Thanks for your help kindness!
