FX tracking - no point track interactive mode

I am using Resolve Studio 17.0b BUILD23 for Intel MAC.
In the color page, I added OPEN FX to a clip- "Patch Replacer" on a new node.
When I go the the tracker, I select FX.
I click on the arrow with the crosshair at the bottom of the tracker to add a point, window and nothing happens. I don't get a point added. My cursor turns into the pen tool when I move over the clip but when I click in the clip, nothing happens and am not able to add any points.
Am I doing something wrong?

I also can no longer see any power window controls. If I select a circle I can't see the circle tool in the clip window to make size and shape adjustments. I can see it is added by seeing it in the node preview window in the node tree. But I cant move it, or adjust it in any way.

If I create a brand new project and import the same clip, it all works perfectly.
The problematic project was built in the same version I am on now. I even tried "save as" a new project name and still can't see or adjust any power window.

Problem Solved:

I figured out what was happening.
The "Window Outline" setting in the "View" has to be set to "On" or "Only UI".
