Home key not working properly in Cut page

PostTue Feb 02, 2021 7:33 pm

When I press Home to got to the start of the timeline in the Cut page, it instead jumps to some seemingly random timepoint in the middle of the timeline. If I hold or double click the Home button, it does go to the start of the timeline. If I select the menu item from the Playback meny, it also works properly. The Home button also works as intended in all the other pages.

Any ideas?

Does it always go to the same spot? Or to a truly random point on the timeline?

I had this issue, but it always went to the same spot on the timeline. Turned out I was in a mode where it thought I wanted to keep reviewing the same edit.

It's the same every time but I don't see anything special about the point. What was the mode?

I don't recall precisely how I invoked that behaviour, but it turned out that Resolve was doing just what I told it. It was some kind of edit review process. It occurred during my first hours with the Speed Editor, so I was making a lot of mistakes.

If you start a new timeline and the home key works properly, it's probably something you (we) did.

On the other hand, I've noticed some weird results with the Speed Editor that might result from using it in both the Cut and Edit pages, as I do.

Given how many versions Home has required a double-tap on the Cut page, one has to wonder if this is by design.
