Canon C70 files

PostWed Feb 03, 2021 9:31 am

Hi!

I had a fantastic opportunity to shoot videos hole weekend with Canon C70 and Canon RF lenses.
I took a lot of video clips with different settings, frame rates etc.

When i have tried to open these clips in DaVinci Resolve 16 and 17 beta / free versions, it is not possible. Clips are colored red and there is text: Media Offline.

I have tried to find plug-ins, extensions, anything to get help but I haven't find a answer to a problem. I have download softwares/apps from Canon.
Only way to edit these clips is transform them another "shape" with Handbrake app. I rather do editing from original files / video clips.

I can open the files with Canon XF Utility app, so they are there and i can play / watch them in Canon app, but in DaVinci Resolve, only these red colored clip boxes open and there is this Media offline text.

I hope someone can help me, what to do that i can edit those clips straight at editing software.
Best regards!

You'll need the paid Studio version for that media.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hi Jim!
Thank you for your answer.

I was afraiding that it is only way to work with original files / video clips. Maybe I just go around it and change the files to another form.

Best regards!

Or a Mac.
