Just wanting to report that I am finding 17 unusable.

PC Specs
Ryzen 1700
Radeon RX5700
16gb Ram

I would have thought my PC was powerful enough and back when i built this pc with a much less powerful gpu it breezed through 4k footage straight from my sony camera. Apart from the new GPU nothing has changed in my setup including the PC and my camera.

I've found studio 16 performance to be much better though.

The issue i'm having is when i load up resolve with a new or an existing project I add video's to the project and they can be played or even the thumbnail previewed for minutes. Eventually they show up and I can edit the video. Come time to to colour adjustments and same issue there nothing happens for quite sometime. These problems didn't happen for 16

What specific GPU driver r u using

Sadly all AMD users are experiencing these issues ... things that i didn't encounter with my old R9-290 during the Resolve 15 era.

1. Slow loading of video thumbnails at the start of the program... it takes minutes to load and to be able to edit anything. Until they load you can't use the program.
2. Issues with video files from Sony A7III 4K 25fps... it gets glitches while you start editing, doesn't happen if i use Optimized media.
3. The first time you use stabilizer it takes a while till it starts doing anything, after that it works instantly as expected.
4. While in dual screen mode (one screen full screen preview) If you happen to enable cinema mode on both by using Alt+F, the preview monitor stops refreshing the last frame sent.

Happens with all the drivers i have tested since November 2020.

Resolve Studio 16 (17 Beta is atrocious on Radeon, can't be used), even started a new clean database with new projects ... does the same.

It's not AMD specific. These are OpenCL issues. I've observed the same problems whenever OpenCL is used, even with NVIDIA cards.

I just hope these issues will be fixed soon. We all know how annoying they can be.
