Laggy playback 1080p 60fps

PostWed Feb 03, 2021 6:55 pm

I am getting SUPER laggy playback (one frame every 10-15 seconds). It is only 1080p 60, with no effects. if I turn on the "Show All Video Frames" setting, it runs smooth, but the audio becomes all glitchy. I have multiple audio tracks on the clip, one for game audio, one for my mic, and one for discord. But every track is muted but game audio, and it still sounds glitchy. Any help would be appreciated, and also I'm new to editing so please explain instructions thoroughly.

If this is game recording, it's incompatible with Resolve. Get a simple amateur editing program.
The reason: your frame rate is inconsistent. If such recordings are of importance in your life, get a HDMI hardware recorder.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Also, make sure your driver for the GTX 1070 is up to date.
When selecting Show All Video Frames Resolve uses more CPU resources at the expense of audio replay.

I always recommend hardware recorders for screen capture you intend to edit. They typically offer editing friendly options like DNx and ProRes, whereas software normally doesn't.
