Color tracing challenge.

PostWed Feb 03, 2021 7:36 pm

Hello Community,

I have a previously graded clip based resolve project that was cut in Resolve 15. The camera media associated with this project is long deleted.

I do however have a DPX ungraded play out of the same exact sequence. With matching edits, duration, etc.

My question is this: Is there a way to take the unlinked resolve clip based sequence with the grades and merge these grades into the DPX play out after it has been notched with an EDL?

Hoping someone here can help!

Thank you!

Never done this. Maybe create Cineform or DNx clips of those DPX image sequences, and re-link the original project to those new clips?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
