Does Layout Path feature work in Text+ ?

In Resolve I would like to use Text+, Layout, Path to create a path and move the text along it. I can do this using Fusion but I do not seem to be able to make it work in Resolve. How do you define the Path?

I am using 17 beta right now, so I know it is possible in 17, I can't remember if I ever did it in 16. In 17, you choose Layout type Path, then change the viewer to Fusion Overlay on the bottom left. You can then just click and add points for the path.
