Hello!
What version of Resolve supports XF-AVC Intra codec? and is it possible to download it for free?

Is this codec supported only on the studio version?

All of those listed are supported in Studio. Subsets of those may be supported in the free version.

But to answer that specifically, we'd need to know what specific type of XF-AVC file, and what type of system and OS you wanted to use it on.

If you have a question about a specific file, provide a link, along with your Resolve system details, and I can check for you.

By ''provide a link'' to you mean to upload specific file? I'm using Canon XF-AVC codec with MXF wrapper and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video compression format. Downloaded the free version of Resolve 17 on Windows 10

Yes, that's what I mean. Upload a file to a file sharing site, and provide a link to the file here.

In my experience, MXF is read by the Studio version only. But you can try and re-wrap the content to MOV.

It plays without a problem in the Studio version. Tomorrow I'll try the free version on M1.

According to the supported codec list that was posted above, it should be working on the free version. Doesn't work for me though (on linux). I found another thread saying that since 16.1 it only works on OSX ?

That's the ffprobe result on the file btw :

Confirmed the clip does not work in the free version of Resolve on Windows.

It does work in the Studio version on Windows.

Neither on the Mac, even with a re-wrap.
But it plays perfectly fine in Resolve Studio on the MB Air M1. Full resolution.
