I always advice working from internal drives only. Use networked and removable drives only for backups and archives.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I've got a similar set-up but my best practice is always to cache to local (internal) drives and leave your media on the NAS.

I haven't tried caching to my NAS but its probably not ideal.

See if local cache stops the drive from dropping off.

ok, tanks,
I have another problem that occurred yesterday, I use frame.io where I load the media in order to possibly work from home, I noticed a problem, in the office I uploaded .mp4 files that are there on the frame.io browser, but when I open DaVicni resolve, and switched to the storage drive of frame.io can't see mp4 files, could it be a bug? Thank you
