Direct entry trim not working

PostFri Feb 05, 2021 5:32 pm

Hello,

I have Resolve 17.08 on windows. I can’t seem to directly move or trim clips with numerical keys as I normally do. Usually I highlight a clip, enter on the keyboard “+10” for instance and the clip is moved forward 10 frames. Same is true for trimming. With the new update I lost that. Do I have a setting wrong or is there a problem?

I did this quite a bit yesterday.

There's nothing elsewhere on the timeline that might be in the way?

No, not that I can tell. It’s my main way of moving clips so I really do it all the time. Very surprised it’s not working for me.

Found the answer. I had custom keyboard settings mapped. When resolve 17.08 was installed the old preference was recalled and active but the buttons weren’t mapped to the same keys, especially in the numeric keypad. Went to the default and all is well. Thanks for the help.

Nice find. Unlikely any of us would have gotten that.
